For manual antenna models, begin by removing the radio and disconnecting the antenna lead. For power antenna models, disconnect the cable at the motor. Next, attach a piece of string or thin wire to the antenna lead at the radio end or the cable at the motor end. Remove the mounting screws and pull the antenna and lead out of the body pillar. Then, fasten the wire or string to the lead or cable of the new antenna and lower it into place while pulling the new lead or cable into the pillar. After that, disconnect the string or wire and connect the antenna lead or cable to the radio or motor, followed by installing the antenna retaining screws. To proceed, lower the antenna and unscrew the cap nut securing it to the fender using needle-nose pliers, then remove the nut, spacer, and bushing. Open the trunk to remove the left side inner trim panel, unplug the electrical connector, remove the two nuts, and take out the antenna. Finally, installation follows the reverse order of removal.
