    Q: How to remove the steering column and instrument panel on Acura Legend?
    A:
    Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, then remove the steering wheel and the steering column upper and lower covers. Next, take out the steering column mounting bracket bolts and lower the steering column. For Legend models, remove the defroster garnishes, the left air duct, and the hood opener. Proceed to remove the lower dash panels and the fuse box cover, disconnecting the wiring harness from the fuse box. Take out the air conditioner and heater control assembly, then disconnect the ground cable from the steering column. Remove the retaining bolts, nuts, and screws, unplug any electrical connectors, support the instrument panel, pull it out, and remove it from the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal.
