Acura NSX Air Bag

The Acura NSX Air Bag provides instant cushioning that can save you from a bruise or a fatal injury. Acura has applied this smart Air Bag system in every sports car since the first one launched in the 1990s and right up to the last model in 2022. Through every era of the Acura NSX, the Air Bag inflates in milliseconds with clean nitrogen and quickly works to deflate to prevent rebound aches. In the first-generation NSX, a single driver Air Bag was hidden within the steering hub, and that first-generation setup already had a sensor as well as a backup power pack so that it remained operational if the battery was cut. Subsequent enhancements by Acura included the addition of a passenger Air Bag, along with side-curtain, knee, and door modules. Each Air Bag is individually deployed, as triggered by the controller upon sensing crash angle and force. With its strategic layering, the NSX cabin feels airy and uncomplicated as it subtly envelops occupants in a responsive Air Bag shield.
