The Acura TLX Cylinder Head seals off each combustion chamber to allow fresh mix in, clearing exhaust out, and modulates the pressure allowing spark plugs and valves to perfectly align to aid acceleration. The updated versions of the Cylinder Head feature lightweight aluminum construction for reduced nose weight and improved balance. In addition, smooth intake and exhaust runners minimize restriction to make extra power. The Acura pedigree also means that the Cylinder Head is machined very accurately to ensure tight sealing. Owners of any TLX model from 2015 to 2023 can swap their iron castings without any need for modification. This means that they will enjoy a factory fit. Every Cylinder Head uses torque-to-yield bolts that maintain even clamping, preventing coolant or oil leaks that cause overheating or misfires, a key reason Acura's name has earned its worth. Quickly releasing heat allows safer operation at higher compression ratios. Thus, the TLX engines, from the 2.4L four to the 3.5L and 3.0L V6s, offer better throttle response with controlled fuel economy.
