    Cut off both boot clamps and slide the boot towards the center of the driveaxle, mark or paint alignment marks on the outer race and the tri-pot bearing assembly, remove the snap ring from the end of the axleshaft, secure the bearing rollers with tape, and remove the tri-pot bearing assembly from the axleshaft.
