To replace exterior light bulbs, start by loosening the front wheel lug nuts, raising the vehicle securely on jackstands, and removing the front wheel. Remove the fasteners securing the inner fender splash shield to access the bulb. The front turn signal/parking light bulb socket is located on the headlight housing; disconnect the electrical connector and turn the socket counterclockwise to remove it. For 1999-2003 models, push the bulb into the socket and turn it counterclockwise to remove, then install a new bulb by aligning the pins and turning clockwise. For 2004 and later models, turn the socket counterclockwise and pull it out, then remove the bulb by pulling straight out. Daytime running light or fog light bulbs are located in the inner part of the headlight housing for 2004 and later models; remove the battery and duct for access if replacing the left bulb. Disconnect the electrical connector, turn the socket counterclockwise to remove, and reinstall in reverse order. For fog light bulbs in 1999-2003 models, remove the retaining bolt and clip, disconnect the electrical connector, and turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove. Side marker lights for 2004 and later models can be pried out with a small screwdriver, and if necessary, the inner fender splash shield or trunk side trim panel can be removed for access. For taillight bulbs, open the trunk, remove the push fastener, and pull back the trunk lining to access the bulb sockets, turning them counterclockwise to remove. For back-up light bulbs, turn the socket counterclockwise to remove and push the new bulb straight in. The taillight/brake light LED assembly requires removing the taillight housing and disconnecting the LED electrical connector. For high-mount brake lights, pry off the grille, disconnect the electrical connectors, and turn the socket counterclockwise to remove. License plate light bulbs can be accessed by removing the housing screws and pulling down the housing. For interior lights, carefully pry off the lens, remove the old bulb, and install a new one, ensuring the lens snaps back into place. For instrument panel switch bulbs, remove the switch, turn the old bulb counterclockwise to remove, and install the new bulb by aligning the lugs and turning clockwise. Finally, for the trunk light bulb, remove the lens, pull out the old bulb, and reinstall the lens.

To install a new bulb socket, align the lugs on the socket with the slots in the mounting hole, insert the bulb socket, and rotate it clockwise until it stops.
