When the compressor gets replaced, you need to replace the receiver-drier at the same time. Start by chasing all air conditioning gasses out of the system and putting them in the correct containers, then detach the ground wire from the battery. Use your parking brake, wheel blocks, and jackstands to lift each front wheel until the front of the car is securely supported and raise it. Pull the drivebelt, disconnect wires from the compressor clutch, and disconnect the refrigerant lines from the compressor. Seal the open fittings with plugs to stop dirt and moisture from getting in. If you have a Legend Model, remove its front bumper, grill, spoiler, and right radius rod before starting work. Carefully detach the compressor from its supporting bars on the vehicle, and take it out. If needed, move the clutch from the old to the new compressor as you uninstall them both. To put it back, we replace every rubber washer with ones made for car ACs and cover them with refrigerant oil. Ask the shop that took out the gases to clean, refill, and check your system for leaks. When switching compressors, transfer cooling motor oil from the old compressor into a measuring container and match the amount added to the new compressor, using one ounce extra when refilling the refrigerant bearings.
