Take the refrigerant out and send it to a recycling facility, then turn off the negative connection to the battery until you're done. For Legend cars, first take off the grille and front cross-member where the frame meets the engine compartment. Then remove the center support bar and latch assembly, if needed. On the passenger's side, remove both refrigerant lines. To take out the condenser, unbolt/nut it and lift the unit off its holders. Insert the new condenser and bolts, making sure the rubber padding aligns with the mounting points. Put your newly installed refrigerant tubes back together, replacing any worn-out O-rings, and put every other part in the vehicle back the way you took it off. After discharge, have a shop charge, test for leaks, and pressurize the system. During a condenser replacement, put in 1/3 ounce of refrigerant oil.
