Acura 52215-SEP-A00 Knuckle, Left Rear

To remove the rear wheel, first loosen the lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it securely on jack stands before removing the wheel. Next, unbolt the brake hose bracket from the knuckle, unbolt the brake caliper, and hang it out of the way with wire, then remove the caliper mounting bracket. After that, remove the two mounting bolts retaining the brake disc to the hub and take off the brake disc. Proceed to remove the hub and bearing assembly from the knuckle, followed by the backing plate for the parking brakes, ensuring to hang the backing plate/parking brake shoe assembly with wire or rope without letting it hang by the parking brake cable. Detach the upper end of the stabilizer bar link from its mount, then detach the lower end of the shock absorber assembly from the knuckle, and unbolt the suspension arms from the knuckle before removing the knuckle from the suspension arms. For installation, connect the suspension arms to the knuckle without tightening the fasteners yet, then connect the lower end of the shock absorber to the knuckle without tightening the bolt. Attach the stabilizer bar link to its bracket on the knuckle, install the hub and bearing assembly, and then install the brake components. Finally, raise the rear suspension with a floor jack to simulate normal ride height, tighten the fasteners to the specified torque values, install the wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the required torque.

Connect the upper end of the knuckle to the upper control arm balljoint, tightening the balljoint stud nut to the specified torque and installing a new cotter pin.
