- A:Yes, that particular part number does have a lock and key. It is attached to the rails with provided straps. However, this particular box is NOT compatible with your year of MDX-only the 2005-2013 model years. You will need to look at the appropriate box for your model year/VIN#. - A:IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO SLIDE THE ROOF BOX OVER TO THE SIDE ENOUGH TO CLEAR SPACE FOR OTHER ACCESSORIES BUT IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED. IT MAY NOT MOUNT SECURELY AND HANG OVER THE EDGE OF THE CAR TOO FAR.Posted by AcuraPartsWarehouse Specialist 25/1/2021
