Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait at least three minutes before proceeding. Remove the driver's side lower dashboard cover and the steering column covers. For 1999 through 2003 models, remove the combination light switch retaining screws, then pull out the combination light switch and disconnect the electrical connector. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the windshield wiper/washer switch, remove the retaining screws, gently pry the switch free, and disconnect the electrical connector. Installation is the reverse of removal. For 2004 and later models, disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper/washer switch, then remove the combination light switch retaining screws and slide the switch out after disengaging the release tab. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the windshield wiper/washer switch, disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the retaining screws, and slide the switch out after disengaging the release tab. Installation is the reverse of removal.
