The PCV valve is located in the crankcase breather chamber. While the engine is idling at its normal operating temperature, close up gently with pliers a rag-covered top of the engine PCV hose at the very top of the engine crank case. Close as softly as possible to prevent damage to hose. If it's working properly, you will hear a click when you pinch the hose while it is closed. In case it does not, change the valve. Check for this kind of closure relative to choking and other types of harm in tubes that link intake manifold and breather chamber. Change hoses when necessary. To replace the valve, remove the PCV hose from the breather chamber. Remove two bolts and detach breathers chamber from valve cover position on this diagram: .Withdraw PV cover from inside outwards.When buying another PCV valve, ensure that it is meant for your specific vehicle type and size of an engine.The old valve should be compared with new ones.A replacement installation is reverse of removal.Replace gasket for breathers box.
