Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. For Integra models, remove the four horn pad retaining screws from the side of the steering wheel facing the dash, pull off the horn pad, and disconnect the horn ground wire. For Legend models, simply pull off the horn pad. On some Legend models, unplug the electrical connector to the right of the steering wheel retaining nut before removing the steering wheel. Remove the retaining nut and paint or scribe a mark indicating the relationship of the steering shaft to the steering wheel hub. Remove the steering wheel by pulling it straight off the shaft, as the use of a steering wheel puller is unnecessary on most models. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to align the index mark on the steering wheel hub with the mark on the shaft when slipping the wheel onto the shaft. Install the mounting nut and tighten it to the specified torque, then reconnect the negative battery cable.
