- Q: How to remove and install Horns on Acura TL?A:The two horns are in front of the radiator and the condenser for models of the 1999 through 2003 models. Our mission begins by removing the front bulkhead cover. Once disconnected, the electrical connector(s) to and from the horn(s) are surrounded by the horn mounting bracket bolt(s) so they are removed to get rid of the horn(s.). This is followed by reverse order of installation. On models from 2004 and newer, the horns are located in the empty spaces between the front wheel wells and the front of the Headlight housings. Either horn can be accessed by removing splash shield, left or right front wheel well. The left or right front front wheel lug nuts are loosened first, the front of the vehicle is raised safely on jackstands and the front wheel is removed. Second, remove the front wheel well inner splash shield. Depress the release tab on the electrical connector that connects to the horn and remove the horn mounting nut. Finally, get rid of the horn mounting bracket bolt and pull out the horn, and you have reversed the process.
