Acura 39150-ST8-A02 Motor Antenna Assembly

To replace the antenna on Civic and CR-V, first remove the antenna lead from the radio and tie a piece of string or wire to it. Remove the mounting screws and simply pull the antenna out of the body pillar, run the wire or string or tape to the lead on the new antenna. Install and tighten mounting screws before lowering the new antenna into place and pulling the lead down into the pillar and disconnecting the string or wire and connecting the antenna lead to the radio. To protect the fender from getting scratched, tape it to the Integra's power antenna mast, then remove the nut and spacer. On you having someone switch the radio ON to extend the antenna, lead the mast as it extends before removing it from the vehicle. Put the new antenna in with the teeth facing the back and line it up with the drive cable, and once you turn the radio on the motor will pull the mast down into the fender. Place a seal, install the spacer and antenna nut and finally install the spacer and antenna nut. Depend on type of vehicle, then remove the trim panel and antenna nut and washer, then the motor mounting nut. Remove it, reconnect the electrical connector and antenna lead, and reinstall, in reverse order.
