Unplug the black cable attached to the battery, then take all trim panel retaining screws out from the door plus door pull and armrest parts. Some screws may be behind hidden covers. To reach components inside the door, lift off the inner door handle trim cover by prying it. To take out the window crank handle, you need a wire hook to remove the clip on manual window regulators. For power regulator models, pry out the control switch assembly to unplug it. Pull a putty knife between the trim panel and door to break loose the retaining clips along the edge, working your way around completely to free the panel. First, disengage all the clips, then easily remove the trim panel by unplugging all cables and pulling upward. On some vehicles, you'll need to pry off part of the top panel with a screwdriver. You must delicately unfasten the plastic film that guards the inner door by pulling away, being careful not to damage it while doing so. Reinstall the door panel after making sure all clips that popped out while taking it off are either back in place on the panel or stay in their door slots. First insert the wire connectors, set the panel properly inside the door, push it firmly until the clips lock, add back the armrest/door handles. Put the control handle on the side of the car window. Install it so the window is shut or the power window button.
