    How do you disconnect the blower unit in the 1988 Acura Legend? Posted by Customer

    Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Remove the glove compartment, glove compartment frame, and side frame. Unbolt the retractor control unit. Remove the center console and center console bracket. Unbolt the lower dashboard bracket and insert a screwdriver. Loosen the sealing strip toward the right (passenger's) side. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower unit. Remove the blower unit retaining screws and lower the unit from the vehicle. Unbolt the fan and motor from the housing. If the motor is being replaced, transfer the fan to the new motor prior to installation. Installation is the reverse of removal. Check for proper operation.
