Check and remove your car radio battery cable carefully, with your anti-theft activation code ready if the radio has that feature. Take out the hazard light switch and rear defogger switch. Unclip the air mix cable from the arm that controls air flow, then unscrew the two screws that hold the center air vent to the instrument panel. First unscrew and detach the A/C Switch from the center air vent, and remove the panel from the vent when ready. Install reverse ongoing removal: Make sure engine runs well and both heater and AC work correctly. To adjust the temperature control cables, don't start - remove the dash to disconnect the air mix control arm from its cable and the clamp holding that process. Adjust the temperature control by pushing in the MAX HEAT button, then turn the air mix control arm to fully open the outlet, until it hits its final stop. Reattach the air mix cable. Pull the heater cable back, then lock it down with the housing clamp. Unplug the heating control arm as it connects both under the dash and the engine compartment. Turn the heater control arm under the dash while keeping the temperature lever at MAX HEAT. To set up the engine compartment cable, move the heater valve arm toward the clamp until it hits the clamping point, patch the cable ends together, grip the neck of the valve arm to hold it open, flex the cable housing taut, and secure it with the clamp.
