    Q:
How to remove and install an Oil Cooler on an Acura Legend? Posted by Customer
    A:
Wait until the engine totally cools down. Located between the oil filter and engine block, the oil cooler stands in the middle. Remove the oil filter and drain the coolant. In the next step, we want to disconnect both coolant lines from the oil cooler and cover up the fittings with caps or plugs ahead of time to catch the fluid that may leak out. To disconnect the oil pressure sensor wire, do it only on Legend vehicles. Take the cooler loose from the engine by removing its bolts. Follow these steps while installing: add a fresh seal between the engine block and oil cooler and tighten all coolant hose connections tightly at their fittings. After putting a new oil filter on, apply sealant to the bolts of the mounting on Legends models. Put in fresh oil filter and replace your engine's oil. Add coolant and oil as needed. Begin the engine and watch for oil and coolant dripping. Make sure to look again at the coolant and oil later.
