Raise the window completely and remove the door trim panel and water shield. For the latch, remove the fastener at the center glass run channel and move the channel away from the latch. This provides a little extra working room in the latch area inside the door. Remove the lock rod protector. Rotate the plastic retaining clips off the lock and outside handle rods, then detach the latch links. Disconnect the electrical connectors at the latch. Remove the three mounting screws, then remove the latch from the door. Place the latch in position and install the screws. Tighten the screws securely. Connect the link rods and electrical connector to the latch. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal. For the lock cylinder, remove the fastener at the center glass run channel and move the channel away from the latch. Remove the lock rod protector. With a hook shaped tool, remove the lock cylinder retainer clip. Remove the screw securing the lock switch to the lock cylinder. Installation is the reverse of removal. For the outside handle, remove the fastener at the center glass run channel and move the channel away from the latch. Remove the lock rod protector. Remove the lock cylinder. Disconnect the link rods from the outside handle, remove the mounting fasteners and detach the handle from the door. Place the handle in position, attach the link and install the fasteners, tightening them securely. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal.
