- Q:How do you remove the Door Trim Panel? Posted by Customer
- A:Remove the inside door handle trim cover by removing the mounting screw, disconnecting the electrical connector, and detaching the handle rod. If you're working on a 2006 or earlier Acura model, use a trim stick to carefully pry off the door speaker cover and remove the three screws securing the door panel. Next, carefully pry off and remove the power window control switch. Remove the mirror fastener trim cover and the remaining door trim panel retaining fastener. Use a door panel removal tool to remove the door trim panel, starting from the bottom and working around the perimeter until all the fasteners have been released from the door. Be careful to avoid damaging the trim panel or the fasteners by prying only at the fastener locations. Lift the trim panel up to disengage the panel from the door ridge, unplug any electrical connectors, and remove the panel. For access to the inner door, carefully peel back the plastic water shield.
