The turn signal and hazard flashers are controlled by the turn signal and hazard flasher in the under dash fuse and relay box. The source of this flasher is located on the lower right of the relay box for models from 1999 to 2003, and on the upper right for the 2004 and later models. Also, to gain access to the flasher, the left kick panel must be removed. If a turn signal indicator light flashes faster than usual, you suspect a blown filament in the corresponding turn signal bulb; but if you hear an audible click, that indicates the flasher unit is working fine. In the cases when there is no light at all on the indicator light, it can mean a blown fuse, the faulty flasher, a broken switch or a loose connection. If the fuse blows for the left or right turn signal, it is safe to check wiring shorts instead of replacing the fuse. If the flasher is bad, it is critical to purchase a replacement one that matches the original.
