In Civic cars, you'll find the radio and cassette player as two separate devices. Integra models combine them into one. Start by taking off the cable that connects to the negative end of the battery, then detach the one that connects to the positive terminal. Caution: Before taking the battery out, make sure you know the marked activation code for your vehicle's anti-theft radio system. Remove the center console. Take out the two plugs underneath the radio by hand. Take off the radio, disconnect the electrical wiring, and remove the antenna lead. When your Civic has a cassette player separate from the radio, disconnect and remove its cable from the player. To remove the cassette player on Civics, take out the two bolts on each side, move the player symmetrically out of place. Installation is the reverse of removal. To take out front main speakers, remove the trim cover on the front, then remove and unplug electrical wires. Installation is the reverse of removal. To get to your front tweeters, take off the door trim panel, disconnect the electric cable of the tweeter, remove the side mirror trim if you have a Civic. Twist out the bolts holding the tweeter into place. Installation is the reverse of removal. If you work on a Civic, pull out the trim that covers the rear seats for hatchback models, or the rear shelf for coupe and sedan versions. When you have an Integra hatchback, you need to take out the cover over the speakers first. On an Integra sedan, you need to unscrew three speaker trim covers from inside the trunk before taking the speaker cover whole. Loosen the screws holding the speaker in place, pull it up and away. Installation is the reverse of removal.
