- A:Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, place it securely on jackstands and remove the rear wheels. Then remove the stabilizer bar-to-link bolts and the stabilizer bar-to-body clamp bolts and remove the stabilizer bar. Pull the brackets off the stabilizer bar and inspect the bushings for cracks, hardness and other signs of deterioration. If the bushings are damaged, replace them.
