To replace the bushings and links on your vehicle, start by loosening the front wheel lug nuts and raising the front of the vehicle with jack stands. Remove the front wheels and then remove the bolts from the Sway Bar Bushing retainers. Pry off the retainers from the bushings if necessary. Next, remove the nuts that attach the upper and lower ends of the Sway Bar Link to the strut/coil spring assembly and to the Sway Bar Kit. Detach the links, making sure to hold the stud with an Allen wrench if it turns while removing the nut. Inspect the retainer bushings for any cracks or tears and replace them if necessary. If the ball studs on the links are loose or worn, replace the links as well. Install the new links, tightening the nuts to the specified torque. Then, install the retainer bushings, making sure to lubricate them with vegetable oil and install them with the slit facing forward. Finally, install the retainers and bolts, tighten the bolts to the specified torque, and reinstall the wheels, lowering the vehicle and tightening the lug nuts to the specified torque. If you have a 2007 Acura MDX, you can remove the Sway Bar Kit without removing the sub frame by simply removing the links and bushings and removing the bar from one side of the vehicle. However, for all other models, removing the Sway Bar Kit involves removing the sub frame, which is an extensive procedure that should be done by a qualified body repair shop.

On 2007 Acura MDX models, the links and bushings can be removed following the described procedure.
