    To replace the trunk support struts, open the trunk and ensure it is securely supported. Detach the upper end of the support strut by removing the two bolts, then use a small screwdriver to detach the cover and remove the retaining bolt at the lower end before taking out the strut. Reinstallation is done in reverse order.
