Acura 35700-ST7-A01 Automatic Transaxle Gear Position Switch Assembly

When you have to do work on your lntegra's engine bay, unplug its control panel. Shift the lever out of gear, then disconnect the 14-pin electrical connector from the gear position switch. The switch is where you plug in the connector on lntegra models. Move the shift lever to multiple positions, no pushing the button. Test sheet locations directly using guides marked on a table, accepting only electrical connections within 5/64-inch movement. Move the switch until you get continuity at each shift position. First move the shift lever to Park, then take out the package holding nuts. Disconnect the gearing button while writing down where the switch's slider was for closing. Verify continuity between A and L in the freeplay space by moving the switch toward Drive until you see current. Recheck to make sure the engine starts in Neutral without pressing the push-button. Take the gear position switch out and replace it if the shift lever detent and bracket haven't been damaged. To put on a new gear position switch, first pull out the console, disconnect the electrical plug, take off two nuts and their washers to pull the switch free. During reassembly, note how the switch lever sits so you can put it back correctly. Put the switch slider in Neutral. While holding Neutral on the shift lever, install the new switch by tightening its two nuts with washers. Try the new switch to make sure the engine powers up when you select Neutral, put the components back together, and install the console.
