The PSP switch is located on the power steering pressure hose, above the right end of the steering gear assembly. Begin by raising the front of the vehicle and securing it on jackstands. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the PSP switch. Using a wrench along with a back-up wrench to protect the power steering line from kinking, unscrew the PSP switch, ensuring to have a pan ready to catch any leaking power steering fluid. Installation follows the reverse order of removal. Finally, check the power steering fluid level and add the appropriate type of fluid if necessary.

The PSP switch is installed above the end part of the steering gear. First of all, lift the forepart of the car and, having steadied it on jackstands, immobilise it in this position. Subsequently remove the PSP switch electrical connector. To remove the PSP switch electrical connector, push the lock tab, and take off the connector. Move to removed the nut for PSP switch with a wrench. It is advisable to have a second wrench on the power steering fluid line in order to avoid pinching the line and in the process some fluid is shed.
