- Q: How do you remove and install the door latch assembly and lock cylinder on Acura Legend?A:Remove the Door Trim Panel and plastic shield. Next, take out the inside Door Handle and disconnect the operating rods from the latch. Remove the three latch retaining screws located at the end of the door, then detach the latch assembly from the door. For installation, follow the reverse order of removal. To address the lock cylinder, remove the outside door handle, then take out the retaining clip and withdraw the lock cylinder from the handle. Installation for the lock cylinder is also the reverse of removal.
