Acura Legend Fuel Tank

Acura Legend Fuel Tank acts as the safe receptacle for gasoline and gasoline vapors while placing essential parts inside the case for constant engine supply, even when the road gets rough. This Fuel Tank contains an electric fuel pump and gauge sender that sit low so the pump stays submerged. It has baffles inside the tank that keep the liquid around the pickup of the pump, reducing noise levels and preventing starvation during sharp turning or braking. The Fuel Tank also connects to the EVAP system to seal off fumes to control emissions. Acura designers, over the years, adopted two main constructions of stamped welded steel and blow molded high density polyethylene that were designed and structured to withstand road debris underneath an Acura Legend chassis. Steel versions boast strong rigidity but may corrode on the outside or rust on the inside, while plastic units shrug off rust but may crack when exposed to severe temperature fluctuations or impacts. Each Fuel Tank is factory leak tested and secured with metal straps that are exposed to the same harsh spray and should be renewed together. Ultimately, every Acura Legend relies on its Fuel Tank to ensure safe, quiet, and uninterrupted fuel flow, making that component vital to the lasting performance reputation of the Legend line.

We provide a broad range of OEM Acura Legend Fuel Tank at unbeatable prices on our website. For your OEM parts, You can count on the guaranteed quality, manufacturer's warranty, outstanding customer service, and prompt delivery. We look forward to your visit.

Acura Legend Fuel Tank Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Properly Remove and Install the Fuel Tank on an Acura Legend?
    A:
Emptying the fuel tank before starting makes the process much simpler. If your tank has a drain plug, use it. For tanks without a plug, siphon the fuel using a kit from any auto parts store, but never begin this process by putting fuel in your mouth. Start by taking off the fuel tank filler cap to ease pressure in the tank, and release fuel pressure in the system. Pull the negative battery cable out of its spot. Open up your fuel container nearby. Pull out the drain plug from the tank if there is one, or connect your siphoning equipment and suck the gas into your fuel can. Before you start the siphoning procedure in a Legend model's storage space, first take off the storage compartment cover and disconnect the fuel gauge and Fuel Pump connector. Lift the back of the vehicle and firmly set it on jackstands. Unplug and cut away all fuel hoses, plus any attachments. Place your floor jack below the fuel tank, with a wooden plank keeping the jack head away from the tank. Unfasten and turn down the bolts securing the fuel tank, then lower the tank enough to disconnect the power and fueling sending unit ground wire. For last, free the tank from its place, then putting it back in is just like taking it out.
