You should do this job when the engine is cold and has not been running for at least 3 hours. On the firewall in the engine compartment, you will find the fuel filter. You need to put an approved gasoline container under the fuel filter. To depressurize the fuel system, one must place a shop towel or rag around the filter. The banjo and service bolts have to be removed, fittings disconnected, clamp released; then filter lifted out of the engine compartment. A flare-nut wrench should be used for disconnecting fuel line fitting at filter on Legend models. Before installing them to assure that they will not leak after installation; ensure all of these connections are clean with no dirt or other debris on them. Following removal procedures in reverse order, install it back again. Toque new banjo and service bolt washers before tightening up bolts adequately. Leaks should be checked for by starting an engine after installation has been done.
