Acura Legend Transmission Assembly

The Acura Legend Transmission Assembly allows the car to convert power from the engine into a smooth motion by selecting the correct gear ratio for all driving situations. Early Legend sedans were equipped with a five-speed stickshift Transmission Assembly, and many Acura aficionados appreciated its lively feel, aided by parallel shafts and driver-selected gears that kept curb weight low. At the same time, a hydraulic automatic Transmission Assembly with a fluid coupling and planetary gearsets became available, eliminating the need to press a clutch and making it easier for a wider audience to commute in everyday life. Both styles have the same mission to transmit the torque from the crankshaft to the wheels, increasing and decreasing it so that the engine can climb hills, cruise well, or accelerate briskly without a strain. Later Acura versions of the Legend advanced the automatic option with computer-directed clutch packs that prompted faster, cleaner changes within the Transmission Assembly; still, the manual remained an option for drivers who liked to be fully engaged. Whichever version you choose, maintaining the Transmission Assembly with good clean fluid will prevent the shuddering noises, harsh shifts, and eventual failure that would have rendered the vehicle immobile.
