- Q: How do you remove and install the APP sensor located on the firewall on Acura TL?A:The APP sensor is located on the firewall and is connected to the accelerator pedal by a cable. Begin by disconnecting the electrical connector from the APP sensor by depressing the release tab. Next, remove the two bolts to detach the APP sensor cover for models from 2004 and later. After that, disconnect the accelerator cable from the APP sensor cam. Proceed to remove the APP sensor mounting bracket bolts; detach the APP sensor and bracket as a single assembly, then remove the sensor from the bracket by taking out the two bolts. Installation follows the reverse order of removal, and after installing the APP sensor, ensure to check and adjust the accelerator cable if necessary.
