Drive the front wheel lug nut torque to loose settings while raising the vehicle onto jackstands before taking off the wheel. A floor jack should support the lower control arm while working. The shock absorber assembly needs removal for Integra models. As a safety measure you should keep the castle nut from the upper balljoint stud loosely tightened while removing the cotter pin to stop a dangerous separation of upper control arm and steering knuckle. The upper control arm separation from the steering knuckle must happen using a puller while you remove the castle nut and secure the top steering knuckle part from falling out by adding wire support to the shock absorber. After loosening the upper control arm-to-shock tower nuts proceed to their removal. During installation procedures follow the removal steps while reinforcing that all attachments use proper torque settings.

Remove the cotter pin from the castle nut on the lower balljoint stud, loosen the nut and separate the lower control arm from the balljoint in the steering knuckle with a puller. Remove the pivot bolt from the inner end of the lower control arm and the nut from the rear pivot stud, pull the stud out of the bushing and remove the arm noting which way the washers face.
