How to Replace a Lower Control Arm on an Acura Integra?

To replace the lower control arm, loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, place it securely on jackstands and remove the wheel. Detach the stabilizer bar link from the lower control arm and the damper fork from the control arm. Remove the cotter pin from the castle nut on the lower balljoint stud, loosen the nut and separate the lower control arm from the balljoint in the steering knuckle with a puller. Remove the pivot bolt from the inner end of the lower control arm and the nut from the rear pivot stud, pull the stud out of the bushing and remove the arm noting which way the washers face. Installation is the reverse of removal, raising the lower control arm with a floor jack to simulate normal ride height before tightening the front pivot bolt or the rear pivot stud nut.
