Acura 22810-PPT-003 Clutch Release Bearing

To remove the transaxle, first pull the clutch fork off the ballstud and slide the release bearing off the input shaft along with the fork. Wipe off the bearing with a clean rag and inspect it for damage, wear, and cracks, avoiding immersion in solvent as it is sealed for life. Hold the center of the bearing and rotate the outer portion while applying pressure; if it doesn't turn smoothly or is noisy, replace it. It is advisable to replace the release bearing whenever the clutch components are replaced due to the difficulty of the task. For installation, lightly lubricate the friction surfaces of the release bearing, ballstud, and the sleeve of the input shaft bearing retainer with high-temperature grease, then install the fork and bearing onto the input shaft, completing the process by reversing the removal steps.
