Acura 17045-STX-A01 Fuel Pump Module Set

Release fuel pressure and disconnect the battery. Remove the fuel pump/fuel level sending unit from the tank. For 2001-2004 Acura and Honda models: Disconnect hoses, electrical connectors, and separate the bracket and case. Remove the pump retainer, rubber isolator, fuel pump, and fuel inlet "sock". Remove the fuel level sending unit. Clean the fuel strainer in solvent or replace if necessary. Check the condition of the O-rings and replace if needed. Ensure the spacer is in place. Reassemble and check for leaks. For 2003 and later Acura and 2005 and later Honda models: Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the case. Disconnect the fuel supply line fitting and remove the O-ring. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the fuel pressure regulator housing. Remove the fuel pressure regulator and O-rings. Inspect the spacer and mesh filter screen, replace if damaged. Remove the fuel pump and O-ring. Remove the suction filter. Clean the fuel strainer in solvent or replace if necessary. Reassemble with new O-rings and retainer clip. Check for leaks after reassembly.

To verify fuel in the tank, you can listen for the fuel pump by turning the ignition switch to ON. If it's unclear, you can open the fuel filler neck cap and have someone turn the ignition while you listen at the neck.
