Q: How Do You Remove the Front Wheel Hub Assembly and Steering Knuckle?
A: To remove the front wheel hub assembly, first remove the wheel cover and loosen the driveaxle/hub nut. Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it on jackstands. Remove the wheel and driveaxle/hub nut. Unbolt the brake hose bracket and caliper, and remove the brake disc. Disconnect the tie-rod end and separate the Control Arm from the balljoint. Pull off the knuckle and hub assembly. For installation, grease the driveaxle splines, insert the driveaxle through the hub, and connect the knuckle to the control arm balljoint. Attach the balljoint to the lower control arm, install the brake disc and caliper, and attach the brake hose bracket. Tighten the driveaxle/hub nut, install the wheel, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts.
