Next, remove the hood latch cover by pulling it toward you and then down. Using a marking pen, make a line around the latch to ensure alignment during reassembly, then remove the latch retaining bolts from the radiator support and take out the latch. Disconnect the hood release cable by disengaging it from the latch assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal, and adjust the latch as necessary to ensure the hood engages securely when closed, with the hood bumpers slightly compressed.
