    What should be done if the starter fails to activate when the ignition switch is turned to the start position for the 2007 Acura MDX? Posted by Customer

    Assess the presence of battery voltage at the solenoid to determine if it receives the correct signal from the ignition switch. Connect a voltmeter to the starter solenoid's "S" terminal and note the indicated voltage when an assistant engages the ignition switch in the START position. It should closely match the battery voltage. Inspect the starting system fuses, specifically fuses No. 41 (120-amp) and No. 42 (50-amp) within the engine compartment fuse and relay box. Also, verify the proper operation of the starter cut relay, situated in the left (driver's side) fuse/relay panel.
