Carefully remove the unit from the fenderwell.For installation, guide the shock absorber assembly into the fenderwell and insert the upper mounting studs through the body holes. Install the nuts to prevent the assembly from falling back through, without fully tightening them yet. Enlist assistance due to the weight of the shock absorber. Insert the lower end of the shock absorber into the damper fork, ensuring alignment between the tab on the shock body and the slot in the fork. Connect the damper fork to the lower control arm, simulate normal ride height by raising the lower control arm with the floor jack, then tighten the self-locking nut and the damper fork pinch bolt.
