The MAP sensor is located on top of the throttle body. Begin by removing the intake manifold cover or engine cover. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAP sensor by depressing the release tab and pulling off the connector. For models from 2003 and earlier, detach the MAP sensor from the throttle body by removing the two screws. For 2004 and later models, first disconnect the electrical connector by depressing the tab, then remove the sensor retaining screw and pull the MAP sensor straight up. After that, remove the MAP sensor retaining screw(s) and take out the MAP sensor from the throttle body. Be sure to remove and discard the old MAP sensor O-ring, and whether re-using the old MAP sensor or installing a new one, always use a new O-ring for models from 2003 and earlier. Finally, installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring to use a new O-ring and securely tighten the MAP sensor retaining screws.
